Trauma centers provide highly-trained physicians, specialists, critical care nurses and support staff who are available around the clock to care for your most serious healthcare needs. Trauma centers often provide burn care for individuals suffering from minor to severe burns.

When you need specialized emergency care, our team of trauma care professionals is ready to intervene using the intensive treatments you need to properly recover.

Trauma and acute care surgery

Our trauma care system was established to ensure that serious injuries receive stabilization, transport and high-quality care during the most critical scenarios. With the only designated Level II Trauma Center — located in Mission Hospital — in the region, we have a coordinated network of providers. This includes first-responders, emergency physicians and trauma surgeons. By working together, we provide exceptional treatments for traumatic conditions every hour of every day.

  • Emergency amputations
  • Emergency general surgery
  • Forensic nurse examiners (FNEs)
  • Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA)
  • Wound care

Trauma survivors network

As a member of the Mission Trauma Survivors Network, you may connect with others in similar situations, give hope and inspiration to others, discover how to meet the challenges of everyday life after injury and learn about injuries from Mission's trauma experts. The community is designed to help ease anxiety and frustration, as well as assist in connecting with needed resources for physical and emotional recovery within the community.
