Minimally invasive surgery
Minimally invasive surgery is an effective surgical method that is less intrusive than traditional surgery. By using small incisions and instruments, we are able to create positive surgical outcomes that typically have minimal scarring, faster recovery times and shorter hospital stays.
Conditions we treat with robotic surgery
Our surgical specialists can use robotic surgery to treat a wide range of medical issues, including:
- Acid reflux
- Bile duct conditions
- Colorectal conditions
- Gallbladder conditions
- Gynecologic cancer
- Gynecological conditions
- Hernias
- Kidney failure
- Liver conditions
- Obesity
- Prostate cancer
- Prostate conditions
- Ureteral conditions
- Urologic conditions

About robotic surgery
Robotics are a revolutionary surgical aid that helps our surgeons perform complex minimally invasive procedures with increased optical imaging, stabilized precision and definitive accuracy. We are innovating today to ensure you experience next-generation medicine when you walk through our doors.
How robotic surgery works
Robotic surgery, or robot-assisted surgery, is a minimally invasive technique that allows doctors to make tiny incisions with special robotic technology. It is considered a minimally invasive technique due to the miniaturized surgical instruments we use, which fit through a series of smaller incisions, rather than one large incision.
The most widely used clinical robotic surgical system includes a camera arm and mechanical robotic arms with surgical instruments attached to them. The surgeon controls the robotic arms while seated at a computer console in the operating room, where the computer console gives the surgeon a high-definition, magnified, 3D view of the surgical site. Much like any other tool, the surgeon is always in full control of its operation and movements.
Benefits of robot-assisted surgery
By using robotic systems to equip surgeons with improved vision and increased range of motion, their dexterity and precision are greatly enhanced. Benefits of these types of procedures include:
- Faster recovery time
- Fewer side effects
- Less scarring
- Minimally invasive
- Shorter hospital stay
Is robotic surgery right for you?
Robotic surgery isn't an option for everyone. But for many, a small-incision operation offers advantages over traditional surgery. Talk with your provider about the benefits and risks of robotic surgery, and how it compares with other techniques, such as conventional open surgery.
Endoscopy services
An endoscopy is a procedure typically performed by a gastroenterologist, a physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive tract. This nonsurgical procedure uses a tiny camera attached to the end of a long, flexible tube.
An endoscopy can be an important procedure used to:
- Collect tissue samples of your condition
- Diagnose digestive diseases or illnesses
- Treat specific ailments of the digestive system
