Mission Health is a large and complex organization. Our story begins more than 130 years ago out of a five-room house in downtown Asheville.
In 1885, a small group of women set out to establish a place in Asheville where the sick and those in need of a home could heal. The women of the Little Flower Mission couldn’t have imagined their little hospital would result in the modern medical center that serves western North Carolina today. Read our story.
