No Matter Where Life Takes Us

You Are Our Mission

For Adult Volunteers

We are delighted that you are interested in joining the Mission Hospital Volunteer Team. Mission Volunteers are vital to providing our patients and their families with an exceptional experience. Volunteers serve in a variety of roles positively impacting patient experience, supplementing the outstanding work done by staff and supporting Mission team members.

All in person volunteer activities at Mission Hospital are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Though we do not currently have opportunities for volunteers to serve on site, we encourage you to complete a volunteer application if you would like to join the volunteer team when our program resumes.

Successful Mission Volunteers will:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be available to serve a requested 70 hours of serves over four months (most volunteer roles need a commitment of a weekly, half-day shift)
  • Complete the volunteer onboarding process

You will be contacted by a member of the Volunteer Engagement Team after we have received your application.

Volunteer applicants accepted into the Mission Hospital Program will:

  • Complete the online application form
  • Provide contact information for those who can give you positive references
  • Attend an interview with a member of the Volunteer Engagement Team
  •  Submit to a criminal background screening
  • Comply with the current Mission Immunization Policy, which includes verification of Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity; Varicella immunity; Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine; Tuberculosis Blood Test (Tspot) screening; and an annual Influenza vaccine.
