Epilepsy and Seizures

At Mission Neurology, our epilepsy center provides patient-centered care for people in western North Carolina with epilepsy and neurological disorders. Our team includes epilepsy-trained physicians with board certification in clinical neurophysiology, registered EEG techs and a team of neuro-hospitalists. Together we provide expert diagnostic testing to correctly diagnose patients and provide the best treatment options to reduce seizures and to create a better quality of life.

Mission Neurosciences welcomes referrals to our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). Our EMU is located on the Neurosciences Unit at Mission Hospital and is made up of four rooms equipped with long-term video EEG monitoring. Our EMU accepts patients ages 13 years and older.
