Rathbun House Opened in 1994, the Rathbun House provides a home-like environment for families and caregivers accompanying a patient receiving medical care or treatment at Asheville area healthcare facilities. Rathbun House is the only hospitality house in Western North Carolina and is financially supported by WNC Bridge Foundation, as well as through the generosity of its donors. Staff from MountainCare, an independent 501(c)(3) organization, help manage Rathbun House operations on behalf of WNC Bridge Foundation. Admission to the Rathbun House is by referral only. To start the process, contact your hospital-based case manager, social worker, discharge planner or nurse navigator and they will complete the referral form.
