  • Increased Efficiency: Designed to get you better quicker, North Tower keeps related services closer to each other reducing the need to change rooms or move, includes more beds, features for more personalized care, a rooftop medical airlift and a trauma elevator.

Healing Environment

The Mission Hospital North Tower was designed with your healing in mind.

Healing Environment
  • Healing Spaces: Our new outdoor courtyard, terrace and chapel provide spaces of restoration.
  • Artwork Commissioned from Local Artists: Art provides a positive diversion, inspires hope and contributes to an atmosphere of healing. More than 150 local artists from across our region contributed 659 pieces of commissioned art to the new facility.
  • Immersive Nature-Inspired Design: The feeling of being in nature has been found to help patients recover faster by reducing anxiety and stress. Each patient floor will adapt one of five elements as its core theme: earth, wood, water, metal and air.

Advanced Technology

With the goals of better patient outcomes and more efficient care, the latest technology provides care for our patients and comfort for their loved ones.

New Technology
  • Smart Rooms: In-room features engage patients in their own care and help improve communication with their care team.
  • Trauma Elevator: Acting as an ambulance in an elevator for patients arriving to the hospital by medical airlift, this elevator allows the medical team to care for patients during transport to the ED.
