Kesha Young Scholarship Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the Kesha Young Health Scholarship Program at Mission Health HCA. The 2026 Application will close on Friday, April 17, 2026. The goal of the program is to encourage representation and increase the pipeline of future healthcare professionals, who show warmth and strong spirit for their patients.
Scholarship criteria
- Certify and maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursue a field of study in a healthcare related career.
- Demonstrate an interest in future employment at Mission Health.
- Complete high school or a GED program prior to June 30th, 2026.
- Not a current employee of HCA Healthcare / Mission Health.
- Not a current physician* or immediate family member of a physician.** (see below)
Application instructions
- Step 1: Complete the online application.
- Step 2: Submit the following documents to NCDV.ScholarshipMailbox@hcahealthcare.com.
- Most recent transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation (for first time applicants).
- Step 3: Await confirmation of submission via email.

Additional information
- Scholarship funds are to be awarded to the college or university and applied to the 2026-2027 academic year tuition.
- Scholarship amounts may vary based on volume and strength of applicant pool and may not be the same amount each year for returning scholars.

*Physician means any person who is a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, a doctor of dental surgery or dental medicine, a doctor of podiatric medicine, a doctor of optometry, or chiropractor, licensed by a jurisdiction within the United States. The term "Physician" includes without limitation any person who is an Immediate Family Member of a person described in the immediately preceding sentence.
** Immediate Family Member of a person means that person's husband or wife; birth or adoptive parent, child, or sibling; stepparent, stepchild, stepbrother, or stepsister; father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law; grandparent or grandchild; grandparent's or grandchild's spouse.
